Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system certainly has a lot going for it, and it needs to have too considering just how strong Android and Apple's iOS have become.
So we imagine Steve Ballmer and co aren't too pleased with how the rollout of the first update to the OS is going so far. A number of Samsung Omnia 7 owners have reported that attempting to install the update saw their phones return an error, or even freeze completely and become unusable.
Microsoft says it is looking into the matter and has been recommending that anyone with a Samsung Windows Phone 7 device hold off on installing the update until they next receive a prompt to do so, which should be in a few days.
Best of all, this isn't even the promised first update everyone was expecting, which will add copy and paste support and improved performance and search to WinPho handsets. Instead, it's simply an update to the update process itself, designed to pave the way for the real deal early next month.
